New Year, New You?

This phrase New Year, New You drives me nuts! What if you don't want to be new? What if you're happy with you?! It makes me feel like I'm not good enough. What do you think?


So then I thought New Year, Same you, only better! Better than what? Better than who?! Your super power is being you! No one else can be you! Your family and friends love you for who you are!


I think the New Year adds such pressure with it's Resolutions! Who has set New Year's resolutions, only to fall off the wagon by the time week 3 of January arrives? January is a difficult month...it's a long month and it's a cold month! So, take the pressure off, be kind to yourself and make small changes to your everyday habits.


It only takes a few tweaks here and there and you'll be back on track with your healthy lifestyle in no time. You'll feel less bloated and more energised if you go for a walk around the block, drink more water than you did yesterday, replace that afternoon biccie with an apple and peanut butter or even go to bed a bit earlier.


So instead of setting unrealistic resolutions that are only going to go by the wayside by February, set realistic, achievable goals that you can incorporate into your everyday life without even realising!
